This is when a cutting machine cuts out a vinyl shapes which are then heat pressed onto garments. This is ideal for small quantities of simple logos and numbers. Good examples of this are names and numbers on the back of football shirts. The prints are sharp and bold.
Screen printing is ideal for larger quantities. The screen ink is applied through a screen directly to the garment. Screen prints can be made up of several colours, however there are set up costs and these increase with the amount of colours required. The end result is a long lasting durable product.
This is similar on process to screen printing, except the print is onto transfer paper. The transfer is then cured and applied to the garment with a heatpress. This is great for jobs where a stock of transfers is useful for repeat orders. The results are crisp and sharp. School leavers Hoodies where the prints tend to contain fine name detail are done this way.
